Service

Service businesses are those that primarily concern themselves with providing a service rather than a specific product. These can be anything from a restaurant to an online matchmaking site. What services they offer may and will differ from business to business but their primary focus is serving customers rather than selling a specific product.

Many if not most online businesses fall under this category because even though they try to promote themselves as a technology company, in most cases what they have created isn't so much an innovative new way to use technology (think Google) but rather have taken a service that used to be offline and done in person and brought it onto the internet.
